It's a BOY!!

I had my ultrasound this morning (w/out Andrew) and to my utter surprise found out that Cletus is a BOY! I had really thought that I was carrying another little girl. I even had the ultrasound tech convinced that I was having a girl. LOL I am so excited to be having a little boy, I love my girls but this is a whole new adventure for us.
When I called to tell Andrew what Cletus was he didn't believe me! He just kept saying "no, really is it a girl?" I think I finally convinced him that it isn't a Reagan (the girl name we had picked out) but that I'm carrying a real life Cletus (not the final boy name we just haven't decided on one yet)!
I'm still in shock and have had to look at the "little man" ultrasound picture many times since I got home because I still don't really believe it. Can't wait to meet the new little Brown boy. Oh and when I told Kadey she screamed she was so excited! Addy still doesn't totally get what is going on (she keeps talking about the baby in her belly) but I think she is excited about a new baby in general.

Family Pictures

On our 6th anniversary (Nov 29th) we met up with an amazing photographer, Melissa McFadden, and had our family pictures taken. We met up with her early that morning at Whitman Mission and thank goodness it was a beautiful sunny fall day. Everyone was ready to get our pictures taken except for Addy. Addy has stranger danger so it took a while for her to warm up to Melissa. But once she did we ended up w/ some pretty great photos. Here are just a few of the pictures we got.

Beavers Game 11-21-09

We had so much fun with friends at the football game on the 21st of Nov. We had just found out that I was pregnant the night before the game so I'm pretty sure I was the only totally sober person in the bunch. But that didn't matter because it was a great game (Go BEAVS) and everyone had a great time. It was a little cold so everyone (minus one) warmed up w/ "coffee" during the game. I'm not sure if you can tell from the pictures or not. LOL Andrew even talked the Cougar into coming over and making a little boys day (see picture below).
We woke up in "Cousin Eddy" to snow on the ground outside the next morning. Brrr Everyone got up in the morning and stopped off for breakfast before heading back to M-F. It was a great weekend! Can't wait to do it again next year!

Soccer games

So far Kadey's team has won 3 out of their 4 games this season! For all the girls being 5 years old they are awesome. Kd has scored 9 goals so far and stopped many goals from the other teams. Even though they don't have goalies at this age, she already makes a good one.
During her third game Kd got hit in the face by another girls head so for the past two games she has been a little scared to get in the circle of girls kicking at the ball but gets a little more gutsy every game. I can't say that I don't blame her, I would be hesitant too.
She LOVES having us at the game cheering her on. She told me that she likes hearing her name while she is playing. :-) So far both sets of grandparents and even Aunt Lolo and Uncle Matt have come to Cheer Kd on w/ Andrew & I. She loves seeing the people she loves at her games.
Now I can't wait for T-ball!!

Soccer & School Time!

Kadey started her first team sport yesterday! She is now a soccer player!! Hopefully she will make cousin Tina proud. lol
About an hour before practice last night Kadey had all her gear on and was ready to hit the field. We ate dinner in a hurry and headed to the soccer field (which is at Kadey's school so you know that was a BIG deal). Kadey's coaches are a husband and wife team (we went to HS w/ the husband) and there are 8 girls on the team. They play 3 on 3 soccer w/ no goalie. Watching the team practice was so much fun. They all look so tiny out there kicking the ball around. Kadey only knows one girl on the team so by the end of the season she should have some new friends. The coaches also have a little girls that is a little older than Addy so she has a friend too.
For being her first time out in the grass kicking the ball (since it has been FOREVER since we have had grass) she did pretty good. I was very proud of her, she listened to what the coaches said and did the best that she could. Being left handed she sometimes gets confused because everyone else is using their right foot to kick but like everything else she does she will figure it out.
When practice was over an hour later Kadey didn't want to leave but by the time we got to the truck she was telling us how tired she was. She must have been one sleepy girl because by 8pm she was asking if she could go to bed! She only does that when she is really tired.

School starts tomorrow (August 27th) and Kadey can't wait! We got to go into the school and meet her teacher yesterday. Kadey was VERY happy to see that one of her best friends from King's Kids ,Isabella, is not only in her class but sits at the same table as Kd. This year Kd and Hunter are in different classes but the classrooms are right next to eachother and I'm sure they will have recess and lunch together. I told her that she would still be able to get her Hunter fixes during those times. ;-)

This morning since she didn't have school (half the kindergarteners go today and half tomorrow for a "gentle start") so we sat on the couch at 7:45am and watched "her" school bus go by. We talked about how tomorrow we would wait out by the road and the bus would pick her up for school. I'm just scared that Addy is going to want to hitch a ride on the bus with big sissy. I don't think she is going to be happy about being left standing on the side of the road w/ mommy. But she will learn to live w/ it eventually.
I just can't believe my baby is now going to school. They grow up so fast!

Working around the house

Things have been even crazier around here then usual. For the last few weeks we have been in the middle of having a new septic tank put in. We have been having septic issues since we bought/moved into our house 5 years ago. So we figured it was time to fix the problem and get a new spetic put in. We have been living with a "moat" around our house for the last week. The good thing about the moat is that I have never felt safer playing out front with the girls and dogs.

We also started working on our laundry room yesterday. We haven't finished it yet but it looks so much better then it did before we started. :-) I'm not sure why we are doing this to ourselves, we are going to be out of town next weekend so hopefully we will be able to get some painting done during the week. Here are some before & half way there pictures...
